Qing He
Qing He is a Professor and Director of State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research (SKLEC) at the East China Normal University (ECNU), holding a Ph.D. in Physical Geography from East China Normal University, an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, and a B.Sc. in Hydraulics and River Dynamics from Wuhan University. Her research focus revolves around sediment dynamics, morphodynamics and their applications in engineering. Qing He has led and managed significant research projects, funded by the national Natural Science Foundations of China (NSFC) and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). Her contributions include understanding mechanisms of cohesive sediment dynamics and biological effects, bottom boundary layer sediment transport and application in navigation channel siltation, human-induced sediment transports and regime shift processes in river-estuary-coastal systems.
Lecture's title: Human-driven sediment regime shift processes in the turbid estuary system
